The Blue Mountains Cultural Centre is proposed to open in 2012 and is part of the Parke Street Development, Katoomba.
The Development will feature a World Heritage Interpretive Centre, Regional City Art Gallery, new public library, a theatrette, multi-purpose workshops, public art courtyards, gallery shop and café, undercover parking and a retail development including a Coles Supermarket.
The project, on the former TAFE site in Katoomba, is a collaborative enterprise between the Council, the State Government and the Coles Group.
Council’s aim is to develop a landmark building featuring public art, environmentally sustainable design principles and state of the art technology. It will provide a community and cultural meeting place and inject fresh life into Katoomba. Download Cultural Centre Brochure

Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Director Moving On

With the commencement of construction of the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre now underway, the Director, Simon Ambrose, will be moving on to take up a new role as CEO of the Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association.
